Must try wines at House of Cards
On opening medium purple in color and definite oak on the nose.
A typical full body Shiraz.
Grippy tannins at first but that after an hour settled into very smooth fantastic wine.
Wonderful fruit on the back side and finish. It was not jammy as expected for a Shiraz. I would say the French oak took this wine more old world dry. Paired beautifully with or bbq chipotle bacon avocado burgers.
So happy this wine went the distance and I would expect you could get a couple mores years in the cellar.
House of cards is my must go to when we are in Perth. Sorry to say covid has kept us away for the past couple years.
Sure hope I can get or taste a couple back vintages if and when we can get back to house of cards.
