Opened this bootle of 2012 Penfolds Grange and first taste it was great but for sure needed at least an hour to breath. At the hour mark all I can say it was remarkable wine and I think was perfect time to open.
First there was Deep dark magenta color. And first impression of dark fruits and chocolate, splashed by spices – cinnamon, vanillin.
A wonderfully balanced wine, plenty of rich, excellent red currant and dark fruits and velvety ripe tannins that had a wonderful long finish. I haven’t enjoyed a wine this much in while. Glad I could share with my family.
